Survivors include, Lee (Charlotte) Carlson, of Gothenburg, Kathryn (John) Jarvis, King, NC Keith (Jodi) Carlson of Gothenburg, Marian (Kent) Kline of Gothenburg, brother, Orville Schurr of San Marcos, CA 15 grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Bailey, Justin (Andrea) Carlson, Jonathan Carlson, James (Taylan) Carlson, Tammy (Matt) Gfeller, Rebecca (Jesse) Riddell, Jesse Jarvis, John W. Ruth was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, she also enjoyed baking sweets, puttering outside, her kitty "Beanie" and spending time with family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids. Ruth was also a member of Cornerstone Bible Church. Wallace and Ruth raised their family on the farm north of Gothenburg and attended the New Hope Church where the gospel was preached and both accepted the Lord as their Savior. To this union four children were born, Lee, Kathryn, Keith and Marian. Wallace and Ruth were united in marriage Dec. Ruth met a handsome young man at Rural Youth Activities named Wallace Carlson. Ruth taught school at Dist 38 by Lexington six years then went to Dist 22. Ruth graduated from Lexington High School and attended teachers training passing all 1F teachers exams and Kearney summer classes. Ruth was raised on a farm near Eustis, NE with siblings, Lloyd, Erma and younger brother Orville. Ruth was born June 25, 1927, to Albert and Martha (Yeutter) Schurr. Ruth Edna Carlson, 95, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died Octoat her home.
